Quebec

Travel Story

Have a long weekend to spare and thinking about where to go for a short trip? Being on the east coast, a trip to Montreal is a no-brainer and a must visit to understand why the whole world loves Canadians!

Europe in North America

If Montreal was a person, it would be the kind that everyone wants to hang out with - charming, lively, artistic and a genuinely happy soul! With a quick one hour flight or 6 hours’ drive from New York, you can cheat your way into Europe by stopping over at Montreal, Quebec. Montreal’s Old Town has everything one has come to expect from the beautiful European cities – a stunning blue basilica, the cobbled streets, the aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries, bustling restaurants and laidback French cafes (sans the French attitude!).

One thing that stands out is Montreal's graffiti culture and the openness to all forms of art. You can skip museums and art galleries and instead just enjoy an afternoon stroll in the plateau area to witness some huge, colorful and sometimes rather bizarre displays of street art. Ohh… and don't forget to share Montrealers’ love for their favorite dish - Poutine!

The French-Canadian seduction continues in Quebec city which is a short 3 hours drive from Montreal. This charming walled city has a cozy warmth to it,  it’s hard not to fall in love with it!
